Bought it for my granddaughter’s 14th birthday! she was so excited!! It was a very nice color and looked very sturdy for a backpack for school! All that mattered was that this is what she wanted and we were able to get it for her! !-This was a gift for my girlfriend who nurses and uses it to bring in for her shifts. She loves itI bought it as a present for my boyfriend. It is great but I am not giving 5 starts just because I would prefer the bag to have double zipper in the main opening. The fact that it has only one and that as being new is a bit difficult to close and open, dont make it easier when going out in a hurry. Rather than that, I love the product and it is super resistant. I think my boyfriend will have this bag for years.this bag is very good looking, and it can hold a lot of things. I CAN put totally 3 laptop and 5 bottle of water in it. And the style looks pretty fashion and my father also love it!Durable backpack but too slim if you’re looking for a kid backpack.This is a really great bag. I'd done some research on Herschel's different backpacks and a website said this one was the sturdier of them and even expanded when fully packed. When I first opened it I was greeted with the striped lining and very firm build so it didn't collapse on itself. I'll admit I was skeptical how something so firm could fit a lot but it does. I was able to put my coat in it with my other stuff in it. Now I'm a believer. It seems to resist rain well. (I've only been in rain once with it since getting it) My only complaint is it doesn't have a side pocket or two for a bottle but otherwise great. I've read that the zippers will go out after some time, if that happens, I'll add to this review. So far they seem to be robust but surprisingly smooth for their hardness. Sometimes if you fill it with mostly flat things it won't stand up perfectly on its own but that's a minor issue. If you're looking for something durable, simple, fits a lot of stuff, and stylish, this may be the bag for you! Make sure to get the regular size (not mid volume) if you're a student or need a lot of space for a laptop and books/binders. I got the mid volume and am returning it because it's too small. Kind of a waste for about the same price for so little space that only a 4th grader and younger could use.This quality bag is the perfect size to hold all my gym essentials and be compact enough to carry around throughout a workout and never be in the way.I got this to replace a much bulkier backpack. I wondered to begin with how I would get on without so much space and padding, but I've quickly grown to love this backpack and I much prefer using it day-to-day to my other one.It is very lightweight and compact, but it can still hold quite a decent amount of stuff, without the bag becoming overly heavy or uncomfortable to carry. I usually carry notebooks, a Kindle, iPad and bottle of water and there's still plenty of room, and a decent amount of protection for the breakable items.The front zipped pocket is really useful, and fits several essential items without them rattling around. It is really easy to get to what I need from this front pocket.The shoulder straps are comfortable and padded, and best of all is the quite stiff handle at the top of the bag. This is ideal for opening the main bag with one hand whilst holding it in the other with the handle. It sounds like an obvious feature to a bag like this, but my previous backpack instantly lost it's shape when I tried opening the main compartment in this way. The Herschel bag feels much more usable.It looks smart, feels like a good quality bag, and is well designed. I'd definitely recommend it.The bag is great! I've known about Herschel for a while and I've previously owned slightly bigger bags however, I brought this bag for uni and pretty much just need it for my 13" MBP, laptop charger, a pencil case and the odd notebook or papers.I didn't know if this was the bag for me as I really needed to make sure it could fit my macbook; searching online for reviews didn't exactly help as I personally couldn't find anyone that specifically said it can fit 13" laptops properly.Anyways, I decided to check it out and well it is perfectly fine. Generally all the Herschel products that I've ever owned have always been of great quality and every item and bag I've owned may have signs of wear and use however, none have any rips or tears etc... If you're interested in buying the bag, have no hesitation as its perfect.THis is well made and feels substantial the inside is like the TARDIS it never seems full. If the teenage granddaughter (who seems to carry around either nothing when asked or enough to make an SAS recruit cry for self) cannot fill it and is actually happy it must be good. The longevity will be interesting as teenagers seem able to shred kevlar vests whilst shouting I did nuttinThe sizing of these bags are so confusing. I ordered the 46 in (whatever that means) in black. All it means is that it is the Settlement version, that comes with a 15" laptop sleeve. My laptop (Lenovo y50) is actually 15.6" but still fits in fine, even with a case. The padding of the shoulder straps are sooo comfy, making it a perfect bag to carry your laptop and other essentials for work/uni etc.Only buy if you are pressured by your kid because “everyone else at school has one”. Bag came with leather pull missing from zipper on front pocket. Zippers are poor quality, difficult to open and close. No side pocket for water. Thin cheap material used. Other bags out there better quality for half the price.
