The video in the description shows off the features really well, so I'll just give some specifics. The bag is very light. The fabric seems sturdy and feels water-proof (haven't taken it out in the rain yet.)The side pockets are large enough for a travel mug or one of the large energy drink cans. Not *quite* large enough for a protein shaker bottle or large Nalgene bottle. The video shows a compact umbrella being put inside a pocket, but not zipped. You would need a very small umbrella to fit in the pocket. The main pouch is spacious with an internal sleeve intended for you laptop. I have a large HP laptop (I like the full sized keyboard) that fits inside with no issue. If you have a smaller (say MacBook or a compact machine) you will have no problem. The top does not have a zipper, only the roll-down closure. Rolling it down tight makes it more waterproof but less convenient to get into. You can just fold it over and clip it closed with no rolling at all, but it is less secure. The "hidden back pocket" is not really a pocket at all. There is a zipper on the back side of the bag (against the seam, next to the shoulder strap) that you can use to get into the main part of the bag. However, if you have the top rolled down and secured, you can't *quite* get the lap-top out through this back door entrance. You can easily get to all the miscellaneous items you might have in the main compartment of the bag. There is no side handle or shoulder sling to have the bag at your side. You can wear it as a back pack or carry it by the handle on the top. You cannot stow the shoulder straps away anywhere. It is a straight up back pack. There is no real sorting on the inside. There is a big compartment, a small mesh zipper area, and the sleeve for the laptop. If you like pockets for your chargers, cables, ear-pods, loose change, wallet, pens, etc. you are out of luck on this one. It all goes in one big compartment. That said, the big compartment really is roomy. You can pack for a weekend getaway or an overnight trip easily. Not sure why it is marketed as anti-theft. The roll-down top *does* make it harder to get into for a pick-pocket, but the lack of a should strap means you have to carry it in you hand if you are not wearing it. There doesn't seem to be any feature to help prevent it from being yoinked out of your hand by a theif.
