Pros:+Lots of storage in main compartment, option to unzip the bottom allows for long items to be comfortably stored inside.+ Expansion can be stuffed full and still have the hood securely cover it.+Floating hood has lots of storage. Straps were strong enough to hold bedroll in place when expansion isn't in use.+Compression straps were sturdy. Ample amount of them allows for secure storage of things outside the pack, along with keeping items inside from shifting.+Pouches on belt are easy to access and hold a decent amount with the mesh netting.Overall the quality was fairly good. I should see some weak points in the stitching when the pack was full. They would definitely rip if one tried to overfill the pack, or is careless when stuffing in compressable items. Otherwise material seemed strong and fairly durable.Cons:-Pack has no padding support on the corners of the frame where it makes contact with your back.-Not for slim hips. Waist strap can tighten to fit a small frame, but with the placement of where the straps attach to the back, it will not properly place the weight.-Non-adjustable frame is uncomfortable if it does not perfectly fit you.-The way the shoulder straps are attached make it difficult to adjust where they sit on your shoulder.I have a smaller frame with a medium/long torso. Measurement-wise this framed pack should have fit me. However, because of how rigidly the frame was in place, it wound up not fitting properly. The straps were uncomfortable, the belt would not stay in place when tightened to fit, due to pads wrapping too far over my hip bones causing it to ride up to rest on my waist, causing painful weight displacement.I wound up with a long rub rash along my lower back, with two welts forming where the inner-corners of the frame dug into me. (Photo taken a week later: skin had rubbed raw enough to scab.) My shoulders have been rubbed- mainly due to the ill fitting belt causing weight to be put on the poorly placed straps. All in all I would only advise this bag if you have a medium/long torso length and a medium build. If you are large enough for the waist-belt to properly fit it should work well, based on its construction.I considered upgrading to the one with the adjustable frame and shoulder-pad height. However, I'm not willing to spend the money when I know the corners will butcher my back regardless. So far so good. I bought this backpack as my updated GOOT bag to fit into my tiny car. The seams of the backpack appear strong, as do the zippers. I had a problem trying to adjust the frame to fit me (I'm 5'3").I was also unable to squeeze my down sleeping bag into the front portion. It's no problem for me to latch this on should I ever really need to in an emergency. For now, i think this will be fine, as almost everything fit inside this backpack and it's now snug inside my car. I have it set so if I need to pull it out I can grab my dog first THEN the pack and we're off.I also ordered the emergency tent but will not open it b/c i know it will never fit inside the pack again, lol. This backpack was really well made for the price. Used it for a 3 day hike, help everything I needed. Lots of pockets and straps for attaching polls and tent. I was afraid it may be too big for me, I am only 5"2' but it adjusted a lot and fit great.Everything I needed fit into this bag for 8 days on St. Thomas! Wearing it was comfortable and there are lots of storage compartments. The shoe compartment held four pairs of sandals! I take it everywhere I travel. Great durability and the zippers are holding up great!Great pack for the expert minimalist and any learning. Hip strap pockets can be difficult to reach while on the move.Great Backpack, Plenty of space and look strong and durable.N NEVO RHINO looks a lot like a model North Face backpack I owned, I am sure the North Face was more rugged but for the big extra price it should be... The price I paid is much less than most all brand name backpacks of the same size. You certainly get your moneys worth and moreMost of the stitching is hidden, the sleeping bag compartment is generous. the main compartment holds a tent an various other items and the top pocket on top of the main space has as bit more space. My mattress is tied to the top. It has several open pockets on the sides. It is made of good quality nylon material. With it fully loaded it is comfortable. If it is adjusted properly. The top of the hip is supposed to hold the weight and the shoulder straps are more for balance. The straps allow a good bit of adjustability and are very supportive. The only question might me how rugged is it. I believe If it is adjusted properly and taken care of it should last.IT is big enough for weekend trips. I have seen people professional backpackers camp for a week with this size during 3 season weather.I love the blue color.Took this pack for a maiden voyage of 38 miles in four days on the resurrection pass in Alaska. I’m 6’1” and 225#. I found the pack comfortable and it carried my gear well. I didn’t mess with all the options for adjustability like height, it seemed fine. The top of the pack felt like maybe I would like the straps to allow it to pull closer to my head by an inch or two. It wasn’t sweaty to wear, the rain fly worked well. I had no chaffing issues.I bought this to replace a pack that cost nearly three times as much after it was stolen. It worked perfectly for that. If I was more hardcore I’m sure I could find a nicer lighter weight bag that’s more supportive but it would probably cost over $300
